He enjoys playing chamber music, having attended BRAVO Workshop regularly since 2013, and he has been the orchestral pianist for several local ensembles. In addition to performing as a soloist, Michael is also active as a collaborative pianist, accompanying vocalists, instrumentalists, and choirs in Western New York. as NYSSMA, Carnegie Hall Royal Conservatory Achievement Program and Young Artists Piano Showcase. In 2018, he became an RCM Certified Teacher with specialist designations in intermediate music theory, advanced harmony, and advanced music history. Park has been teaching piano for twenty years. Michael has participated in masterclasses with renowned pianists Angela Hewitt (2017), Eric Huebner (2017), Konrad Skolarski (2017, 2020), and Fabio Bidini (2019).įrom 2016 to 2020, Michael worked as an assistant teacher at the Mary Handley Piano Studio in Amherst, NY. The NYSSMA All-State Festival is scheduled for December 2-5 at the University of Rochester’s Eastman School of Music Concert Hall.

The LRCM examination is a 60–75-minute-long, professional solo concert performance. The ARCT degree requires piano examinations from Levels 1–10 and a 45-minute solo concert as the diploma exam additional theory requirements include three courses each of rudiments, harmony, and music history and one course each of counterpoint and analysis. Under the tutelage of Mary Handley, he completed the development program of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, earning his Associate Degree (ARCT) in 2016 and his Licentiate Degree in Piano Performance (LRCM) in 2020. She looks forward to learning from her students and fellow founders and create a learning community that is both fun and informative.Michael McClure is a classical pianist from Buffalo, NY, and a first-year undergraduate student at the University of Chicago. Through LIYD, she hopes to inspire a passion for science in students and show them the endless possibilities and opportunities that it brings. She performed at the 21st Century Pianist Concert Showcase at The Alan M. At Choate, she is an active member of Choate Quizbowl, Math Club, Choate Newspaper, and Chamber Ensemble. Liu received her Doctoral Degree in Musical Arts from Michigan State University, Masters Degree in Music from the Manhattan School of Music. She has also participated in LISFA and SCMEA, and was the LISFA concert master in 2017. She is invited to be the Chairwoman of the International Maestro Piano Competition in 2018, 2019, and 2021. High School MoMathlon and Mathcounts teams at the chapter and state levels, and is an alumni ‘16 of ICPS (Institute of Creative Problem Solving for Gifted and Talented Students) and MoMath-BNL Gifted Math Program. north high school junior hwi-on lee is one of only 12 students across new york state selected to perform in the nyssma piano showcase, part of the 2021. High School’s Science Olympiad team, winning gold medals in Disease Detectives, Crime Busters, Density Lab, and Simple Machines, and Thermodynamics at invitational, regional, and state levels. She has competed in multiple Science Olympiad events and was named a captain for Gelinas Jr. Her hobbies include digital art, playing violin and viola, and creative writing. She loves all things STEM, especially biology, math, and physics. Isabella is a rising sophomore at Choate Rosemary Hall. She hopes to provide a fun and interactive community for her students to help them learn and grow from this club and prepare for math competitions. Over the summer, she enjoyed challenging herself with math problems, especially studying algebra, and decided to teach younger students to further her ability at expressing and communicating math and to share her math experience. She also received Outstanding Achievement in Algebra II from PJ Gelinas, won first place in the 2021 Brookhaven National Laboratory Annual Bridge Building Competition, and was a first-place medalist for Boomilever and Anatomy in Science Olympiad competitions, such as the LISO, Rustin, and Cornell invitationals, as well as the Long Island Regionals. She was an active participant in her school math club and was a team member for the Mathcounts regional, MoMath regional and final, attended the Math League competitions, and won 4th place in the Regional MoMath individual round and 1st place in the Regional MoMath team round. Beyond music, Darius has a love for reading, math, art and science. Darius also enjoys composing and is studying under Hofstra Professor Herbert Deutsch. NYSSMA is a State Unit of NAfME (MENC) The National Association for Music Education. He completed NYSSMA level 6 and has been selected to perform at the Annual Piano Showcase.
